Minimize outside dirt tracked in.

The best way to keep outside dirt out of your carpet is to leave shoes at the door. The biggest source of soil to your floor is outside soil tracked in on the souls of shoes. To keep the dirt from your shoes out of your carpet employ a no shoes policy in your home. If you like to keep your shoes on you can drastically reduce soil tracked in by placing good quality mats at the entrances to your home. Be sure to clean these mats often or they can become a source of extra soil rather than a soil deterrent.

Use a Good Carpet Pad

Move Heavy Furniture

Reduce Direct Sunlight
